Response to a Racist...
Deluding
you and your cone hat-wearing, pot-bellied drinking buddies with made-up facts
does nothing to instill guilt in either me or any other progressive black
educated in American post-secondary educational institutions. When your
stinking, STD-ravaged, murderous, inbred forebears were brutally eradicating
the East Coast of Native Americans in the early 1500s for WASPs to settle
there, ours were being forcibly removed - primarily from the East and West
Coasts of Africa - by barbaric Portuguese slavers with the assistance of rival
African tribes who had no clue about what they were about to subject their
fellow Africans; and, consequently, winded up in slave trading posts up and
down the [American] colonies, before being shipped into the Deep South where they
were forced under the whip to pick [cotton from sun up to sundown in the
malaria ridden, venomous snake and insect infested, sweltering swamps] your
forebears into an envious system of prosperity that has never been known before
or after with no compensation for over four hundred years! If I had
motherfuckers working for me for free for 400 years, I would probably try and
make the same, lame argument sans any factual evidence to the contrary. But
history is relentless, because under the failed leadership of Andrew Johnson,
17th President of the United States (April 15, 1865 to March 3, 1869), the
newly emancipated Africans were left to their own devices without the supports
[Freedman Bureau was an ill-managed, underfunded joke] one would expect from a
civil society who has aggrieved a group of its members. We as blacks have
barely recovered 126 years out of slavery due to perceived inferiority because
our forebears chose life over sacrifice. Anecdotes about singular individuals
who have been successful are not persuasive given the structural barriers that
still exist to inhibit more blacks from realizing the American Dream, which
will become a nightmare if Trump and his puppy Ghouliani is elected President
on Tuesday, November 8th. A generation is only twenty years, Einstein. So, do
your history racist, before you try to engage me with anecdotes. I deal only
with empiricism, stupid.
